Service Description

Level 1; we call "Dave Palmer". This is the first step in joining our esteemed network of providers for patient referrals and gaining access to our annual conference. Elevate your practice and connect with peers as you enhance your skills in a thriving community focused on excellence in chiropractic care. AHKC Level 1 Adjusting Purpose: Provide doctors and students with a comprehensive foundation in Advanced HIO Knee‑Chest (AHKC) adjusting — integrating anatomy, neurology, biomechanics, and reproducible technique using the Simmons Angle Table and S‑Angle system. Core Learning Objectives By the end of Level 1, participants will be able to: - Explain the History of Dave Palmer and the historical development of the Knee‑Chest approach. - Describe the significance of the Upper Cervical spine and its role in whole‑body function. - Understand the biomechanics of the Upper Cervical spine, including joint motion, alignment, and corrective forces. - Identify the musculature of the Upper Cervical region and its relationship to alignment and stabilization. - Explain the vascular and neurological components of the Upper Cervical spine and their relevance to health and function. - Apply proper and effective patient placement on the Simmons Angle Table for optimal positioning and stability. - Identify and execute Atlas segmental contact points with precision and consistency. - Perform adjusting drills designed to develop speed, accuracy, core power, and thrust smoothness. - Deliver a specific and efficient adjusting thrust using proper body mechanics and energy transfer. - Interpret and apply research articles supporting the AHKC and Upper Cervical model of care. - Understand the Guide to the S‑Angle and its relationship to patient relaxation and reproducibility. - Calculate the proper S‑Angle based on anatomical and biomechanical considerations. - Position the Simmons Angle Table correctly for each patient’s individual S‑Angle. - Determine the Maximum Relaxation Value (MRV) to achieve the most effective patient setup and adjustment.
